What are tubular batteries?
Tubular batteries are also known as deep discharge batteries is a lead-acid battery. They provide a small amount of current, for example, 5 Amperes, for a long period of time. The electrodes of these batteries are thicker than the regular ones and hence cannot release a large amount of current. Moreover, they cannot be used in domains where a large amount of current is required in a relatively short period of time. Although they don’t provide high current, they last for a longer duration as compared to regular flat plate batteries.
