Exide tubular battery uses leading technology that seals the active material in polyester tubes called gauntlets, instead of pasting it on the surface of the plate. As a result, there’s no shedding or corrosion, ensuring long battery life.

Due to the toughness and durability, tubular batteries can operate at extreme temperatures and are used in high cyclic applications involving frequent and prolonged power outages.

Exide Torr Tubular Technology uses one of the world’s most exclusive, advanced and state-of-the-art “HADI” high-pressure spine casting (at 100 bar) machines, which is not commonly available.

The hi-tech R&D centre at Kolkata, Exide has developed the high corrosion-resistant and robust spine technology using the HADI process which ensures a superfine grain structure for strength, long life, high backup power and highest reliability

Nantech, the prominent Exide battery dealer, supplies Exide batteries which is capable of operating in extreme temperatures as it is supported by high cyclic applications for prolongs power outage. The tubular batteries behave in the same manner when it comes to backup power, but not all are made identical. There is a difference in the alloy composition and how the spine is cast. The spine is the backbone of the battery. The difference in the machines with low-pressure casting or HADI casting is revealed using a scanning electron microscope.
